This piece is a voucher issued on behalf of Mr. Antonio Pliego, a plumber from Marchena, with metal discs brought from the military factory in Seville. The precarious means available for punching these coins resulted in poorly stamped discs. The curious thing about this voucher-currency was the great acceptance it had in the town and neighboring municipalities.
