The Ansbach-Bruckberg Porcelain Manufactory emerged in 1758 from the Ansbach Faience Manufactory, founded in 1710 by Margrave Wilhelm Friedrich. For this purpose, Margrave Alexander recruited workers from Meissen. In 1763, the manufactory was relocated to the Bruckberg Palace. When Ansbach fell to the newly founded Kingdom of Bavaria in 1806, the business was privatized. In 1860, the manufactory went bankrupt.
Christian Frederick Charles Alexander (German: Christian Friedrich Karl Alexander) (24 February 1736 in Ansbach - 5 January 1806 in Benham Castle near Speen) was the last Margrave of the two Franconian principalities Brandenburg-Ansbach and Brandenburg-Bayreuth.
