Bronze
A strictly museum Quality, Chinese, Eastern Han, Dynasty, bronze mirror depicting 4 mythical creatures, dating 25-225 AD.
The moulding was artfully done and the patina so beautiful that we recon it's among the most accomplished of the type.
Size: 190 mm. in diameter and heavy.
Condition: Good Extremely Fine. Sharp decoration in high relief with subtle silvering and glossy grey-green patina, the borders and the other side with scattered surface corrosion to the silver patina remaining. A green oxidation spot at the central knob and ancient deposits and excrustations inside the loop.
Ex. Old Swedish private collection, aquired at Antik West, Göteborg in the late 1980s. Comes with COA.
