A beautifully decorated gold and silver finial for a large hairpin or a Toga-pin, Roman Imperial, probably Eastern Roman, c. 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.
The head is of gold and there's a decorated thick silver setting in the center, which would have housed the base of the pin.
The head measure 1,5 cm. 2,1 cm. long and weighs 4.78 grams.
