This fierce 1 Oz Silver coin is part of the "Ragnarök" series, a journey into the gathering darkness of Norse mythology. The reverse of this Silver coin depicts Jörmungandr surging through violent waters, its immense body curving behind a lowered, snarling head. Layered scales, sharp spines, and curling tendrils create an intricate surface, while the exposed fangs lend the creature an immediate, threatening presence. Across the background, branching lightning cuts through a storm-laden sky. Below, sweeping waves close around the serpent, binding sea and monster into one restless composition. Along the upper edge, the inscription: "JÖRMUNGANDR" – the name of the mythological serpent. The obverse presents a circular serpent emblem within a four-pointed ornamental motif, set against a finely textured field. Germania Mint's double-headed eagle appears to the left, while a stylized serpent head occupies the right, with a small shield-shaped mark below.
