An impressive silver tetradrachm from Acanthus in ancient Macedon, dating to c.470–430 BC.
The obverse features the famous and dramatic scene of a lion attacking a bull, one of the most recognizable designs of Classical Greek coinage. The reverse displays a shallow quadripartite incuse.
Certified by NGC as Choice AU, with an exceptional Strike 5/5 and Surface 4/5.
