Allemagne Trial Hieronymus Paumgartner 1553 TTB

Preisanfrage

Rare uniface lead cast medal of Hieronymus Paulmgarner, dated 1566, in the style of German Renaissance civic portraiture.

Bust facing forward, wearing a pleated robe and large ruffled collar.
Inscription: HIERONIMVS · PAVMGARNER · 1566

Notable detail: the facial features are visibly reworked in 3D, likely modeled or struck directly onto the cast surface. This suggests the piece may be a unique workshop prototype, made prior to final production or casting.
