Charles Lagrange (1804–1857) was elected representative of the Seine to the Legislative Assembly on May 13, 1849. He resumed his seat on the far left, renewing, whenever he had the opportunity, his protests against the repression—without trial—of the June uprising. Arrested on December 2, 1851, he was banished from France by the decree of January 9, 1852.
