Extremely RARE and KEY YEAR 5 Mark of Friedrich of Baden (1856-1907), 1902. Even more RARE in PROOF - only single coins come to auctions once in a couple years! We are offering one an exceptionally attractive proof specimen displaying deep, highly reflective, charcoal-black mirrored fields contrasted against sharply rendered, silver-white devices. The obverse exhibits excellent portrait definition, with particularly crisp details throughout the hair and beard. The reverse is especially impressive, featuring a beautifully articulated Imperial Eagle with pronounced visual contrast against the dark proof surfaces. Delicate champagne-gold and amber peripheral toning frames both sides, enhancing the coin's elegance and originality of appearance. Minor surface imperfections consistent with the assigned PR 64 grade do little to detract from its outstanding eye appeal! Great collectible and investment coin from all perspectives!!
