NGC MS 63. TOP POP!!

We are offering a high-grade, popular in between collectors and quite rare Reichstaler of Johann Georg of Saxony (1616-1656, ruling alone). 1618. Strongly detailed with some weak strike on reverse, attractively toned Mint State coin with amazing degree of preservation! Grade MS 63 by NGC is well-deserved for the sharpness of the details as well as original-looking surface with reflective luster in the fields. As mentioned above there are some weakness of the strike but we still can appreciate busy heraldic design with even small details visible. "Swan" - Mintmaster mark. This coin is also very interesting historically by being minted in the first year of the Thirty Years' War and Johann Georg was directly involved into the mediation of the conflict by rejecting Bohemian Crown offered by the rebels. We know that the following years the severe Kipper- und Wipper monetary crisis debased a lots of currency so this coin is considered the original pre-inflation taler. Great historical, collectible and investment coin from all perspectives!!!
