This type of Convention Taler of Carl Friedrich of Baden-Durlach (1738-1811) is an extremely rare to see on ANY auctions in a high grade. We are offering one graded as MS 64 by PCGS - Top Population for PCGS. This particular year 1779 has the lowest mintage numbers which makes this coin even more desirable for the collectors! Touch of platinum hues with weak strike on obverse, underlying luster, more prominent on reverse, some die imperfection at three o'clock on reverse - still top of the quality specimen!!
