This is another collectible gem - extremely RARE to find "Postmortem issue" of the taler of Friedrich Ulrich of Brunswick-Wolfenbutel. This coin was minted approximately an year after the Prince's death. Especially RARE to find this type of taler in high grade - PCGS offers the only one coin as MS 62 - this one specimen! You can see through the remnants of luster and touch of the smoky toning sharp detail of the strike even with performance of the pretty worn dies. Unique and desirable collectible coin! Former Robert C. Knepper Collection.
