Inscription NATURA ARTIS MAGISTRA with dates 1 MEI 1838 / 1 MEI 1863 in the field.
Reverse:
Fire steel with the Amsterdam coat of arms above crossed rods; legend DOMINUS NOSTER ADJUTOR.
Condition: Blue-coloured paper issue, very well preserved.
Historical Context:
Issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Royal Zoological Society Natura Artis Magistra in Amsterdam, founded in 1838. Extremely rare paper example, not previously encountered in our records.
