Commentary : Ce tiers d’écu est frappé sur un flan assez large et légèrement irrégulier. Des taches et des rayures sur les deux faces
FR : Monnaie signalée d’après les archives dans l’ouvrage Monnaies royales françaises et de la Révolution (1610-1794), mais qui n’était pas retrouvée. D’après nos recherches en archives, 164.220 tiers d’écu ont été mis en circulation suite à huit délivrances entre le 22 octobre et le 24 décembre 1720. Pour cette production 72 tiers d’écu ont été mis en boîte. Le poids monnayé a été de 5.471 marcs 7 onces 6 deniers

According to our archival research, 164,220 thirds of an écu were put into circulation following eight deliveries between October 22 and December 24, 1720. For this production, 72 thirds of an écu were boxed. The minted weight was 5,471 marcs 7 ounces 6 deniers
