DOYENS DE LA FACULTÉ DE MÉDECINE DE PARIS Philippe Hecquet, doyen 1713/1714 - REFRAPPE 1714 R1 vergoldetes Kupfer
Obverse : PH. HECQUET. ABBAV.
EN : The description of Feuardent, bust to the right, is clearly erroneous. Philippe Hecquet marked his deanship with a new edition of the Codex, which was finally printed and distributed in 1732. He also had a new edition of the Faculty's statutes produced and provided the Faculty's library with more than 1,300 volumes. This type of re-striking was done for collectors and to compensate for the impossibility of finding certain tokens, extremely rare or even unknown in their original form.
