Obverse : Inscription arabe, date 1358 de l’Hégire entre une branche de laurier et une palme, le tout dans un double filet
Reverse : TUNISIE // . PROTECTORAT FRANÇAIS . // 20 / FRANCS / 1939 dans un décor de motifs floraux ; ESSAI à droite
FR : Ce type correspond à la 20 Ffrancs Turin fabriquée en métropole. Ce type est frappé de 1358 à 1361 de l’Hégire (1939 à 1942). Pour 1939, outre l’essai, 100.000 exemplaires furent frappés. Les autres millésimes ne le furent qu’à 53 exemplaires chacun et sont très rares
EN : This type corresponds to the 20 Francs Turin minted in mainland France. This type was struck from 1358 to 1361 AH (1939 to 1942). For 1939, in addition to the trial, 100,000 examples were struck. The other vintages were only struck in 53 examples each and are very rare.
