Reverse : PROTECTEUR DE L'ACADEMIE FRANCOISE. - A L'IMMORTALITE en trois lignes - 1717 dans une couronne de laurier

Il fut reçu à l’Académie par André Dacier. Il mourut le 10 septembre 1753
EN : These tokens were distributed to members of the Academy during their meetings on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Academicians noted for their regular attendance at meetings were called \\\"jetonniers.\\\" In 1719, this token may have been in the hands of Claude Gros de Boze. Born in Lyon on January 28, 1680, he was a numismatist and, in 1719, keeper of the Cabinet of Antiques, whose collection he classified. He was received at the Academy by André Dacier. He died on September 10, 1753.
