Il plaida pour l'eugénisme et pour une politique nataliste

A pioneer of vascular surgery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1912. He became internationally known for the publication of Man, the Unknown in 1935. He advocated for eugenics and a pro-natalist policy.
