Obverse : L :. LIBRES / * PENSADORES / MONTEVIDEO. / D :. L :. V :. sceau de Salomon, il est constitué de deux Triangles superposés, le premier pointe en haut intègre sur le pourtour les inscriptions. L’autre Triangle pointe en bas signale trois lettre. Le bouton recevant la chaînette ou se fixe le bijou est orné de Compas et équerre entrecroisés rayonnants au centre, la lettre G.

FR : L'histoire de la franc-maçonnerie en Uruguay commence à la fin du XVIIIe siècle avec l'arrivée des premiers émigrants sur le territoire connu sous le nom de Bande Orientale et sa capitale Montevideo. La maçonnerie à l'époque coloniale : Cette présence maçonnique a été accrue dès 1807 lors des invasions britanniques dans le Rio de la Plata par la présence des loges militaires des régiments de Dragons irlandais. C'est en 1856 qu'est fondé officiellement le Grand Orient d'Uruguay avec une patente du Grand Orient du Brésil, qui deviendra postérieurement la Grande Loge de l'Uruguay
EN : The history of Freemasonry in Uruguay begins at the end of the 18th century with the arrival of the first emigrants in the territory known as the Eastern Band and its capital Montevideo. Masonry in the colonial era: This Masonic presence was increased from 1807 during the British invasions in the Rio de la Plata by the presence of the military lodges of the Irish Dragoon regiments. It was in 1856 that the Grand Orient of Uruguay was officially founded with a patent from the Grand Orient of Brazil, which later became the Grand Lodge of Uruguay.
