Cuirassed bust of Louis XIV to the right., Round crowned shield of France between two palms, mint letter below., "Demi écu aux palmes" reformed on a "demi écu aux 8 L" struck in Paris between 1690 and 1693. On the obverse, the first three digits of the date of the first flan are visible at the REX of the legend, while on the reverse, the cartouche with the mint letter and the beginning of the arms of the cross composed of L can be seen.
