This Canadian Silver Proof set was made to commemorate the centennial of the Cobalt Silver strike of 2000. Included in this set are Sterling Silver issues of each denomination in circulation at the time. It is an excellent addition for any collection.

1999 features designs representative of Canada’s past. In an open design contest called “Create a Centsation” over 33,000 designs were submitted for consideration.
2000 features designs representative of Canada’s dreams for a new millennium. A second design contest was held and over 66,000 designs were submitted for consideration.

The Royal Canadian Mint also a released a collector version of each of the Millennium Quarter Coin Series composed of sterling silver with proof frosted finish.
